I have worked in the financial industry for most of my professional life; from retail banking to automotive lending, and now mortgage lending since 2017. I started in a Loan Officer Assistant position, then moved into Loan Processing prior to becoming a Loan Originator. I’m grateful to have taken this path because it has provided me with the knowledge and experience to proactively create smooth homebuying experiences for my clients.


My focus is first and foremost on consumer advocacy and homebuyer education, showing my clients how the numbers work from all angles, with both short and long-term impacts of each product and loan structure, so that they are empowered to make the best financial decisions for their future. Clients are more than a transaction to me – I want to earn their mortgage business for many years to come.

Shortly after her 2010 graduation from the University of Texas at Austin with a Master of Education degree, Tammy went to work for a real estate broker and property investor where she spent the next four years learning the real estate and property management side of the industry. This experience makes Tammy a formidable mortgage lending professional, understanding real estate transactions from every perspective.


As a military brat, Tammy grew up all over the country, but currently calls Albuquerque, New Mexico home. She loves the abundant public lands New Mexico has to offer and thrives on outdoor adventures. She has peaked more than 14 mountaintops with her rescue dogs by her side, and loves to take them mountain biking, hiking, trail running, and paddle boarding.


The Mortgage Dogs brand is designed and based on Tammy’s own rescue dogs - River, Zoe, and Jack. When not working or enjoying outdoor adventures, Tammy and her dogs compete in a variety of dog sports to show the purebred world that rescue mutts are just as good at all the things. Mortgage Dogs also proudly sponsors the adoption fee of one shelter dog each month at Animal Humane New Mexico, with hopes of expanding to more organizations as business grows.
